The holidays are upon us and we have a variety of opportunities to make the season a little brighter for your local community. And we invite all of you to share your thoughts about this important topic at our Social Action/Social Justice Listening Forum(part of our Culture of Belonging Initiative) on Sunday, January 8 at 2:00 pm. Our expressed hope is for a plurality of voices expressing a multiplicity of opinions, leading to robust conversations.
We are so excited that almost all of the children have been adopted for our Adopt a Family initiative! There are only a few more children left, so please check out the sign up sheet to help us reach our goal of adopting 75 children this holiday season!
If the Sinai list has been filled, it’s not too late to make a difference this holiday season as there are more than 1000 CAC students who are still waiting to be adopted. Consider adopting a family directly through the CAChere OR donating to the Community Assistance Center’s Holiday Gifts for Kids fund here which will go towards gift cards for kids in the community.
The deadline to adopt a family is November 28 for our community and December 4 for Noar students only.
This training is on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:00 pm forteens in Grades 7-12. We will start with parents and teens together, providing the space to share and listen to each other's experiences and concerns. Then, we will break out into two select areas: parents will be able to hear from Eytan Davidson, the Regional Director of the Southeast Region for the ADL and teens will form smaller groups of students (by grade level) to begin training how they can address the antisemitism that they confront. Our evening will conclude together.

Temple Sinai provides the facilities and our members volunteer their time by providing dinner, miscellaneous supplies, overnight hosting, Saturday day hosting, helping the families move in and move out, and laundry.
