Whether you’re diving into a great novel or researching classical Jewish texts, you’ll find something to inspire you. The library features a robust fiction section, an outstanding reference collection, and specialized areas including Holocaust studies, Modern Israel, Jewish art, music, sports, and biographies. We also offer a Jewish genealogy section to help you explore your family history.
A highlight of our collection is the Jewish Law Library, a living tribute endowed by the family of Steven Eichel, a young lawyer and cherished member of our community whose memory lives on through this growing resource.
Looking for a peaceful place to read or have a meaningful conversation? The PNK Learning Center is one of the most welcoming and tranquil spots around—perfect for study, reflection, or simply enjoying a good book.
For Young Readers
Right next to our main library is a special space just for children and youth. This area hosts story time for preschoolers and NOAR students, and features an annual reading program that sparks a love of Jewish books in elementary-age children. It’s a fun and meaningful way to build early Jewish literacy and a lifelong connection to Jewish learning.
Our library thrives thanks to the passion and dedication of volunteers! If you love books and community, we’d love your help. Join the Library Committee or lend a hand with cataloging and covering new titles—there’s always something to do, and every bit of help makes a difference.
Engage in some thought-provoking discussion during our Rona Balser Book Club. It meets monthly and is generously sponsored by the Rona and Bill Balser Book Series Endowment Fund.
There are a number of ways to support the Learning Center and Temple Sinai hosts several endowment funds that specifically enhance and enrich resources and activities for learning. Click below for a list of endowments and to support the PNK Learning Center.
