10 – Portraits of Sinai Past Presidents
With each installation of a recent Past President’s portrait, we are reminded anew that much of Temple Sinai’s success can be attributed to our history of visionary leadership. From the congregation’s inception in 1968 until the present day, dedicated men and women have led our community with integrity and inspiring commitment, working diligently in partnership with their respective boards as well as the clergy and staff to uphold our mission. The Hall of Presidents reminds us of the devoted, insightful, and prudent individuals through the decades who have led our congregation from strength to strength.
Reflection from Adam Mayer:
I love Temple Sinai! I said that in each speech I gave during my term as President, and my love and appreciation for our sacred home increases with each passing year. I was fortunate enough to be President as we were emerging from COVID lockdowns and online services and returning to being in-person. There are a lot of conveniences with technology, and I am proud of all that Temple Sinai does in that regard, but nothing beats laughing together, praying together, singing together…simply being together as a community.
I was fortunate enough to stand on the awesome shoulders of Sinai’s lay leaders who came before me, and I am incredibly excited about the future of our congregation and its leadership. Serving as Temple Sinai’s President remains one of my greatest honors. As you walk the halls and learn more, let me simply say, welcome to Temple Sinai…welcome home!
