We are looking forward to having your children with us this week! It will be a busy week with our 6th graders and their parents visiting the Bremen Museum and our 2nd-5th graders involved in Chuggim (electives) for part of their morning.
I want to make sure you all know about an exciting Family Shabbat happening on February 7th. This Shabbat experience will begin at 5:30pm (a little earlier than usual) with parent social time while children prepare challah. Families will then dine together before joining the congregation for a musical Shabbat experience with our Artist-in-Residence, Dan Nichols . If your 6th grader is participating in Club 6 Movie Night, this is a perfect way to enjoy Shabbat together before they meet up with their friends. Please make sure to sign up now so we know to expect you!
Finally, as the wildfires continue in L.A., our community wants to help. You can be part of this effort! After talking with our colleagues in the Greater Los Angeles Jewish community, we have learned that there is a need for gift cards (Target, Visa, or Amazon, of any $ amount) to be distributed to the thousands of displaced Jewish community members, most of whom have essentially lost every possession. This Sunday, there will be collection stations at both the front desk and the Noar desk to collect these cards.
