Last week, teachers gathered and had a great week learning together and preparing to have your children back at Noar. They learned about how to help all children make the most of their time at Noar. Jenna Sommer shared ways to create a safe, inclusive, and inviting space that meets the needs of all learners. Teachers asked great questions and were inspired to think carefully about how to start off the second semester.
While there is not a Noar Session scheduled for this week, we would love to start our next session on January 21st off with a regular schedule. If your child is in 2nd–6th grade, please help us accomplish this by finding your child’s Eidah (unit) section below and clicking on the link under it so that they can fill out their Chugim (elective) choices. We will do our best to get as many children as possible in their first choice option while keeping in mind to balance the numbers and keep learning optimal. Priority is given to children who did not have their first choice last semester or who are trying a new chug.
I want to make you all aware of an important Noar calendar change. The week of March 17th is now going to be PURIMagination, a Purim celebration. Stay tuned for more information. Noar Sunday and Noar Hebrew WILL NOT happen during that week.
Sunday, March 24th, was originally scheduled as a week off for the Purim celebration. Now, Noar Sunday and Noar Hebrew will be IN SESSION this week. Your children will have the opportunity to hear a Megillah reading, and you are welcome to join in if you choose.
Have a great weekend, Shanna
