Family Promise is a national organization that provides temporary room and board, as well as career counseling and case management, for homeless families with children. Here in Atlanta, Temple Sinai is one of 12 inter-faith organizations within Family Promise of North Fulton/Dekalb. For one week, approximately 4-5 times per year, Temple Sinai hosts up to four families that are in need of housing and hospitality. Temple Sinai provides the facilities and our congregants volunteer their time by providing meals, on-site hosting, and moving services. Family Promise guest families are very appreciative and grateful for the hospitality that this program provides and our Sinai volunteers have enjoyed the opportunity to have a direct impact on families in need. For additional information, see Family Promise of North Fulton/Dekalb or watch Brian Williams’ report on Family Promise.
Join Temple Sinai and over 40 Jewish organizations as we march in the annual Atlanta Pride Parade on Sunday, October 9th. A bus will leave Temple Sinai at 12 noon.
