Sisterhood/Neshamot is the community of women at Temple Sinai. The word Neshamot comes from the Hebrew word for "spirits or souls" and reflects our spirited, multifaceted, multi-generational approach to women's programming at Temple Sinai. Under the guidance of our clergy, each program includes social gathering, learning and community building, while nurturing our sense of spirituality.
One of our signature programs is Rosh Chodesh, a social gathering held once a month, usually on Thursday evenings, at 6:30 pm. These programs are led by Rabbi Sam Shabman and Bunzl Family Cantorial Chair Beth Schafer and focus on Jewish study topics of interest to women. A light dinner is provided with social time to talk to friends and meet other Sinai women. Plan to attend these wonderful evenings for good company, delicious food and stimulating discussion!
